This Parcel No 10 is a 12 year Caol Ila on reserve Cask, bottled by the independent bottler Elixir Distillers. The bottle belongs to a series of whiskies, from the series The Single Malts of Scotland (SMS), which are released in so-called Parcels. For these whiskies, at least two casks are always blended and bottled in small batches.

This Caol Ila is made from five casks, personally selected by Oliver Chilton, Elixir Distillers' master blender.

Elixir Distillers:

Was founded by the 2 brothers Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh. , who is also behind the store The Whiskey Exchange. They use their extensive experience from virtually every nook and cranny of the spirit world to fuse traditional craftsmanship with an insatiable hunger to experiment and innovate. The work is definitely on Scotch whiskey but also Japanese. They have found interest in Irish and American whiskey as well as other spirit types. Among the biggest brands we find Elements of Islay, Port Askaig, Single Malts of Scotland and Black Tot.

Originally the company was called Specialty Drinks, they only changed their name to Elixir Distillers in 2017. The distiller name comes from 2018, when the 2 brothers announced that they had plans to build a new distillery on the south coast of Islay. The future looks bright for fans of smoke and peat!
