Caol Ila 10 years Ingelred Bourbon cask 56.4 % 2011-2021

Caol Ila 10 years Ingelred Bourbon cask is the first peated whisky from Ingelred Whisky, as well as the first from  Caol Ila Distillery. 

Scent: Bsounded and fresh peaty aroma with a touch of olive oil, wood shavings, lime zest, vanilla and fruit caramel.
Taste: Mildly peated with sweet touch of candied sugar and citrus. 
Aftertaste: Fairly long and sweet finish with hints of bitterness. 

Caol Ila 10 years Ingelred aged in Bourbon casks from April 2011 to August 2021. Bottled with 56.4 % from cask no. 307971.

Archaeologists have now proven that there may be some truth to the legends. Swords have been found in Northern Europe, made of steel of a quality not yet seen for a thousand years in this area. This steel can be traced as far away as the Far East and India.

The legend of INGELREÐ is over a thousand years old. 

The INGELREÐ sword combined the best of two worlds. From India the materials and the advanced knowledge to produce steel with a high carbon content and from the north the exceptional skills of a Viking blacksmith.
