CADE Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 features an elegant composition of grapes from five unique vineyards, giving the wine its characteristic depth and complexity. Here it displays impressive aromas of dark berries, chocolate and spices, which are combined with a harmonious and persistent aftertaste.

The wine is an amalgamation of five vineyards on Howell Mountain, incl CADE Estate Vineyard, 13th Vineyard, Ink Grade Vineyard, Cold Springs and Eagle Summit. With a spine off Cabernet Sauvignon contains Cade Estate Howell Mountain also Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot, all of which add depth and complexity to the wine.

Color: Deep ruby red with intensity and clarity.
Scent: Complex aroma of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, combined with notes of cocoa nibs, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and light spices such as cinnamon and cloves.
Taste: On the palate, the taste of rhubarb, red cherry, boysenberry and subtle hints of baked red apples are experienced. That mixes with a flexible structure and a distinct Howell Mountain character.
Aftertaste: Long-lasting and persistent aftertaste with great intensity, leaving notes of ripe fruit and spices.

CADE Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

CADE Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is the result of a carefully selected grape composition from Howell Mountain, one of Napa Valley's most famous wine regions. The wine is created from 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot and 1% Merlot, giving it remarkable depth and complexity. The grapes are fermented at high temperatures, which ensures intense color and taste. While the subsequent maceration time of 5-7 days contributes to the wine's structured and rich profile.

After fermentation, the wine undergoes a malolactic fermentation directly in the barrel, which gives a silky texture and balances the natural acidity. It matures for 19 months in 100% French oak casks, of which 79% are new casks from famous French cooperages such as Allary and Mercurey.

This careful aging highlights the wine's complex flavor profile and produces a full-bodied but elegant wine with both power and finesse. CADE Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a wine with both great length and texture, which highlights Napa Valley's unique terroir.

It is a wine that is suitable for aging, but can also be enjoyed now for its fresh fruit and balanced structure.
