Bumbu The Original is made from a recipe that goes all the way back to the 16th and 17th centuries, when sailors and traders who traveled to the West Indies gave this drink the name Bumbu.
Scent: Sweet and full notes of exotic fruits.
Taste: Sweet with lots of flavors of different fruits. Behind the fruits you can taste the complex rum, which has a lot of different notes. Among other things. caramel/toffee and cocoa. A really exciting rum that can be drunk by everyone.
Bumbu rum is produced in Barbados. Distillation takes place on two ancient column stills and the rum is then stored for up to 15 years in the finest used bourbon oak casks. Made with sugar cane from 8 different countries, each with their own characteristics:
Bumbu has won a sea of awards – most recently triple gold at the Los Angeles International Spirit Competition.
Bumbu is a very complex rum with sugarcane from 8 different countries, each with their own characteristics:
- Barbados
- Belize
- Brazil
- Costa Rica
- Dominican Republic
- El Salvador
- Guyana
- Honduras
Blending from these countries has produced a complex rum with a large bouquet of vanilla, bananas, cocoa and caramel in beautiful harmony.
Column still:
Is a very effective distillation method. The boiler type makes it possible to let the distillation run continuously. Large plants can produce up to 90,000 liters of alcohol per day. The distillation method was introduced in Cuba in the mid-19th century, where the Barcardi brothers founded their first factory.
