For this first edition of the Colección Visionaria, Brugal and Jassil Vilanueva Quintana have selected the cocoa bean. As an absolutely crucial ingredient and experimented with a ground-breaking barrel roasting technique.

We explore this technique, where cocoa beans are roasted in selected European oak casks, and the result is a rum with extra depth and complexity. With an intense aroma of hot chocolate, toasted oak, spices and citrus. This aroma is perfectly balanced with mild notes of vanilla. On the palate, you experience a subtle taste of vanilla, accompanied by hints of caramel, dark chocolate, dried fruit and a hint of roasted nuts. The long aftertaste ends with persistent notes of toasted oak.
