From the sun-drenched slopes of the Mâconnais, deeply rooted in a clayey and calcareous soil, the grapes for our magnificent Burgundy Pinot Noir Fût de Chênes are harvested. The grapes come from over 30-year-old vines that grow on east-facing slopes. Which gives them the optimal exposure to the sun's rays and the cool breeze that rushes down from the mountains.

Scent: Rich aroma of barrel aging, black fruits, cherries and wild berries.
Taste: Elegant balance between fruitiness and barrel notes, with roasted nuances and deep fruit tones.
Aftertaste: Long, pleasant aftertaste with persistent roasted notes and harmonious balance.

This wine undergoes a careful process that begins with a cold maceration. Where the skins slowly release color and structure before going through a three-week fermentation process. The wine then rests for a full 10 months in oak barrels, which adds complexity and depth to its character.

In the glass, the wine presents itself with a light ruby red colour, elegantly accompanied by a purple tinge. At first smell, you are met by a rich aroma that bears the stamp of the finesse of barrel aging as well as a concentrated aroma of black fruits, juicy cherries and delicate wild berries. The long aftertaste leaves notes of toasted nuances from the barrel, completing this wine with subtlety and harmony.

To enjoy this wine in its full glory, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 14-16 degrees in a spherical Burgundy glass. This wine is a perfect match for a wide range of dishes. Including grilled vegetables, juicy duck, long-roasted veal, grilled chicken or mature cheeses.
