Botran Rare Blend Guatemalan Oak rum is a limited edition release in connection with Casa Botran's 80th anniversary. This is 100% Guatemala originality, as the sugarcane harvest, distillation, aging and bottling all took place in Guatemala.
Scent: Oak, vanilla, nuts, mild berries and spices.
The taste: Roasted oak, vanilla, caramel, mild berries and spices.
The rum is matured in the mountains of Guatemala using the Solera system, and the 8-25 year old casks for this bottle are handpicked from among Botran's exclusive reserves. A total of 5 different types of barrels are used in this blend. Local oak casks from Guatemala, used whiskey casks from the USA, toasted whiskey casks from the USA, ex-sherry casks from Spain and ex-port casks from Portugal.
About the Distillery:
The story started with 5 Rome-loving Brothers. They took an eye-opening journey, from sunny Spain to glorious Guatemala. And in 1940 they founded Botran. A rum with a distinctive attitude. One as vibrant as our sugarcane juice and as colorful as our country. It helped us become the first sustainable rum in the world. And it continues to push us as we fill each glass with the bright and vibrant spirit of Guatemalan rum.
