Barros Vintage Port 2022
Barros Vintage Port 2022 is a deep red port wine with complex aromas of wild berries and menthol. Barros Vintage Port 2022 delivers an elegant and engaging tasting experience, perfect for both new and experienced port drinkers. The quantities are small, however, with only approximately 5,000 bottles for the whole world!

Barros Vintage Port 2022 is the result of a careful selection of the best grapes from vines planted at different altitudes and sunlit areas in the Cima-Corgo sub-region.
The main grapes in this blend are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, with a small amount of Sousão. This port has a deep, almost opaque red color and a clean bouquet that reveals notes of wild berries such as blackberry and raspberry, as well as a hint of menthol. In the mouth it is complex and elegant, with fresh fruit flavors enveloped in intense and silky tannins. The aftertaste is complex and engaging, making Barros Vintage Port 2022 an exquisite experience for both new and experienced port lovers.
Although it has great aging potential, this vintage port can also be enjoyed young, making it ideal for those just starting to explore the world of vintage port.
About the Portvinshuset
Barros, a port house founded in 1913 by Manuel de Almeida under the name Almeida & Ca, has a proud history in port wine production. Manuel Almeida dreamed of turning his port wine house into a world-leading producer. And by his death in 1974, this dream had manifested itself. Barros was at one time responsible for around 6% of total port wine production.
The house has gained recognition for its legendary colheitas, which are wines from a single vintage aged for at least 7 years in barrel, often longer. Barros has an impressive collection of colheitas in stock. Dating back to the 1940s, these bottles are only bottled by order.
Since 2006, Barros has been part of the Sogevinus group, which also includes other reputable brands such as Kopke and Burmester. Barros continues to maintain its honorable tradition of excellent port wines and strengthens its position as a leading player in the port wine world under the Sogevinus roof.
