Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year Single Malt 40%
Balvenie Doublewood 12 years was launched in 1993, and goes through some very special distillation processes. It is first aged for 12 years in traditional whiskey oak casks, where it is then matured in old American bourbon casks, where it is finally filled in Spanish sherry casks for 9 months.
Scent: Sweet with notes of sherry along with vanilla and honey.
Taste: Soft and smooth with delicious aromas of various nuts, cinnamon and sherry.
Back in 2018, could The Balvenie Doublewood 12 year Single Malt celebrate the 25th anniversary. This milestone is due, among other things, to the factory's distillers and the "maltmaster", who has dedicated 55 years of his life to the production of the absolutely perfect whisky, who received an "MBE" (Member of The British Empire) from the British Royal House.
