Ballechin 15 Years SBCS 2022 Release #1
Ballechin 15 Year SBCS 2022 Release #1 represents the heavily peated distillation we have been making at Edradour Distillery since 2003. Distilled with barley that has been infused with peat to a level of no less than 50ppm, this release is a limited edition of 3520 bottles from a mix of first-fill Bourbon casks and second-fill Oloroso sherry casks. Presented at a cask strength of 58.9%, it is not cold filtered to preserve the authentic cask character and natural in colour.
SBCS – Small Batch Cask Strength
SBCS stands for Small Batch Cask Strength, a new range from Edradour Distillery that debuts with this 2022 release. In this inaugural batch, Edradour presents a smoky Ballechin, a blend of ex-bourbon and second-fill Oloroso sherry casks that impart aromas of wood smoke, sweet fruits and delicate spices. The whiskey is bottled without coloring and unfiltered at a solid 58.9% ABV.
The bottles are limited to 3,520 pieces worldwide.
