Armorik Classic Single malt Fruit rich with dried fruits and lovely spices with rich complexity with notes of coastal character in the finish

Scent: Full-bodied and elegant with notes of dried fruit, hazelnuts and toasted bread.
Taste: Here it begins fruity and then slowly reveals its complexity, again with dried fruits, grains and with lovely spices.
Aftertaste: A long and spicy finish with perhaps a hint of coastal character.
Cereal: French barley and Breton wheat.

Armorik Classic Single malt is double distillation in copper pot stills.

Ripening: Ex-Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks are primarily used here. But they also have a close collaboration with the last Breton cooper, who makes some unique Breton oak casks from the local forest.
Climate: Many similarities to the west coast of Scotland. Humid wind, rain and sea breeze. However with a higher temperature.

Armorik Single Malt Classic, as the name suggests, is the cornerstone of the company's whiskey portfolio, and presents the best the cellars can produce. It is made up of whiskeys of different ages aged in sherry and bourbon casks.

About the Distillery:

Distillery Warenghem has created the very first Breton Single Malt Whisky: Armorik. Located on the northern coast of Brittany, which is popularly called the Celtic cousin of Ireland and Scotland. The distillery is independent and has been family owned for over a hundred years.

The distillery was built in 1900, and was originally known for making quality liqueurs from local plants and fruit.
In 1983, passionate director Gilles Leizour decided that Warenghem would be the first French distillery to produce Single Malt Whisky.

For the Warenghem distillery, quality and stability are the most important parameters. That is why they themselves stand behind the entire process behind whiskey distilling. Right from brewing, fermentation, distilling, maturing to also being responsible for pouring the whiskey into the bottle.
