Anne Pichon Grenache Noir – The Winemaker pronounces “I have put all my passion into the production of this Cuvée. I have dedicated the wine to my wife Anne, who loves nature as much as I do.”

A very special Cuvée with lots of baked fruit and some notes of licorice and spice from barrel aging in the aftertaste. A warm, soft and delicious red wine with a fine structure and a delicate aftertaste.

Serving suggestion: Dishes with veal or small tapas, but the wine can also be drunk on its own.
Serving temperature: 16-18ºC.

Anne Pichon Grenache Noir is made 100% on Grenache Noir, which grows on old vines at the foot of Mont Ventoux. Here the vines benefit from the simply perfect conditions for viticulture; lots of sun exposure during the day and a cooling refreshing wind that comes down from the slopes of Mont Ventoux at night.

The fields are cultivated with great passion and completely without the use of pesticides and chemicals. You can say that the fields are almost one with nature, which is why the wine has been named Sauvage, which refers to the natural wild way of growing the grapes. The Grenache grapes develop and ripen as naturally as possible before being hand-picked when they have reached perfect ripeness.

The area:

Mormoiron is a typical French village located in Provence at the foot of Mont Ventoux, which in cycling circles has been nicknamed "The Bald Mountain". The area has a proud tradition of viticulture, and wine production in some places in the area can be traced back to before the birth of Christ, when Greek colonists planted the first vines.
