This Taylor's Very Old Single Harvest Port from 1968 has been released in limited quantities. The Single Harvest Port series, is bottled 50 years after the harvest year and this 1968 is the fifth port wine in the now discontinued Very Old Single Harvest Series. A port wine that just has to be experienced.

Scent: Still nice chestnut brown in colour. The scent offers delicate but at the same time complex notes of walnuts and marzipan, you sense pepper and spices.
Taste: Full and soft with a delicious touch of raisins and caramel. It still has a good acid content considering its age. It finishes fresh with a long and persistent taste.
Many port wine houses, like Taylor's, have very old oak-aged port wines in their cellars. Taylor's has one of the largest reserves of very old oak-aged port. Among them is a collection of rare Single Harvest Ports, which are port wines from a single year that are aged to full maturity in oak casks and bottled with the harvest year printed on the label.
