Speyburn 18 years Single malt from Speyside is matured in American oak barrels and Spanish oak barrels for 18 years. 

Scent: Filled with notes of sweet toffee, sugary almonds and thick tropical fruit. Hints of caramelized sugar and candied apples give way to a very light honeyed smokiness.
Taste: Creamy dark chocolate, toffee, a gentle oak spice and a hint of citrus. Citrus gives way to a long, slightly smoky finish with an enticing bittersweet edge.
Aftertaste: Elegant and long.

Distillery:

Founder of the distillery John Hopkins, discovered a unique location in the heart of Speyside, ideal for making exceptionally smooth whisky. The region was already famous for its whisky, but what John Hopkins brought to Speyside was an innovative spirit and the will to do things right. 120 years ago, the first drop distilled from Speyburn, which today makes unique whisky. Instead of a large drying floor, he raised his malt upwards, using layer upon layer of mesh and infusing it with the lively Speyside air.

Over 100 years after its foundation, Speyburn is the only distillery to use the pure, crystal clear water of the Granty Burn.

Hopkins wanted to make his first whiskey for the year 1897. It had to be finished in time to toast Queen Victoria's 60th anniversary of her reign. Their first bottle was to bear the year 1897 on its label. With hard work and heroic efforts with his distillers he succeeded and was rewarded with the first cask of Speyburn whisky.

Today, 120 years later:

120 years since the first drop was distilled, Speyburn is now more than a whisky. Bold, bright and full of character.
