Vintage Tawny is mixed from several different vintages. The age refers to how old the wine is estimated to be when it is bottled. Only the average age of the wine and the bottling year on the bottle are indicated here. Tawny with age is typically found in 10-year, 20-year, 30-year and in some cases up to 40-year versions.
These selected port wines come from the Douro region in Portugal and are from the Vista Alegre house.

About the Vinhuset:
Quinta Vista Alegre is located deep in the Douro Valley near the town of Pinhão. Port wine house Vallegre is owned by the Cunha Barros family, who have been deeply involved in port wine production for 4 generations. At Quinta Vista Alegre, they still use the old "Lagars", where the grapes are trodden with bare feet for several hours, for the absolute best port wine qualities. Quinta's vineyards cover an area of 55 hectares planted with the region's best grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Roriz and Tinto Cão. The vines are very old, some more than 75 years old
