Tomatin 12 years 2008 Cognac French Collection no. 4 out of 4.
Scent: It is full of fresh fruit and floral flavors with subtle notes of lavender and Scottish heather.
Taste: Here there are hints of cranberry, orange peel and rose water with well-balanced spices, with the French oak giving a long finish with notes of Earl Gray tea and poached pears.
Distilled in May 2008, moved to Cognac Fad in November 2018 and bottled in March 2021.
Distilled in 2008, the Tomatin 12 Year 2008 Cognac French Finish whiskey was first aged in traditional Scottish oak casks, then in 2017 moved to Monbazillac, Sauternes, Rivesaltes and Cognac casks and finally bottled in 2021. The result is a magnificent collection of Tomatin Whiskeys with a “French Finish”, without filtration and with its natural color.
There are only 6,000 bottles of each edition available in the world, all bottled at 46 %. Denmark has received 60 bottles of each release!
About the Distillery
Since 1897, a quiet revolution has been unfolding in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
The naturally soft water of Alt-na-Frith is mixed with the Scottish barley. Distilled in tall, slender copper pot stills and out comes the softest and most fruity spirit. The spirit is gently matured in carefully selected oak casks, which produce the characteristic single malt whiskey from Tomatin Distillery - The soft side of the highlands
