Johnnie Walker:

The young farmer's son started back in 1820 with his merchant's shop in Kilmarnock. His father died the year before and he sold the farm and used the money to start the grocery store. Back then, most grocers had a range of single malts for sale. It wasn't good enough for Johnnie. He started blending them together so they tasted the same every time. When Johnnie passed away after a full and prosperous life in 1857, he left his son, Alexander with a very healthy business. Things progressed quickly for the son and already in 1920 their whiskey was in over 120 countries. Today it is found all over the world and is the biggest whiskey brand in the world.
