Distilled 23.10.2003 and bottled 28.7.2014
There are only 228 bottles of this whiskey. It is selected by Danish retailers on Mac Y's retailer trip to Scotland and at the same time selected to be part of Mac Y's Specially Selected Celebration Range.
This bottling of Tomatin is aged in a 1st fill bourbon barrel.
Scent: Vanilla, honey, pistachios, lemon sorbet and orange.
Taste: Honey, dried fruits, spice, malt and chocolate.
Aftertaste: Spices, vanilla and citrus fruits.
About the Distillery:
Tomatin – Highland distillery from 1897. Tomatin is still today, one of Scotland's largest distilleries with no less than 23 stills and their warehouses have a capacity of no less than 220,000 casks. Today, Tomatin publishes many different whiskeys, sells in over 50 international markets. The mission from biggest to best is well on its way to success.
Tomatin, like several other Scottish distilleries, is in Japanese hands, and has been since 1984, the first of its kind. A lot of malt whiskey is released at Tomatin, and there are also some independent bottlings, many of which are old.
