Ardmore 14 years Old Particular from Douglas Laing's Single malt from Douglas Laing's
Scent: To begin with, hospital corridors / bandages + a salty smokiness develop into a vanilla-like sweet barbeque style.
Taste: Streaky smoked bacon with lightly toasted toast bread with butter leading to sweet ash and fresh citrus.
Aftertaste: Long and still smoky but more meaty.
Distilled in May 2000 at Ardmore and bottled in December 2014 with a total of 195 bottles from refill barrel DL10593.
Douglas Laing's
Was established in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing (FDL). Today they are a proud independent family owned Scotsh whiskey company. Today, the 3rd generation is at the helm of the company. With over 70 years of experience passed down through generations, you can deliver the finest whiskies.
The philosophy is to present whiskey as the distillery intended. Nothing is added to whiskey. You get the opportunity, as whiskey lovers all over the world, to get as close as you possibly can to trying a dram straight from the cask.
Ardmore Distillery:
The distillery was built in 1898 by Adam son of William Teachers in the village of Kennethmont. They built to make sure they had enough filling for their mix of Teacher's Highland Cream. The distillery is today Japanese-owned by Suntory Holding and operated by their American subsidiary Beam Suntory.
