Ron Espero XO Extra Anejo is a mixture of 15 different Solera and vintage rums, which are blended in Costa Rica.
The 15 different rums come from distilleries from the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana and Trinidad.
Scent: Lightly smoked with sweet notes and some citrus
Taste: sweetness filled soft, light citrus and notes of banana, coconut in nice harmony with honey and spices.
Ron Espero XO Extra Anejo is a combination of the finest and very old rums from the Dominican Republic (with a solera age from 12 to 18 years, and a blend of vintage rums from 6 to 12 years from Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Guyana.
About Ron Espero:
Vasco Núnez de Balboa was a Spanish explorer, governor and conqueror.
He crossed Panama from the Atlantic to the Pacific in 1513, becoming the first European to see and reach the Pacific. The term "Espero" hisses in the old. Spanish slang for "hope", and it is this hope to discover new things that drove Vasco Núnez de Balboa in the New World to travel.
He traveled to the New World and after some exploration settled on the island of Hispaniola (today the Dominican Republic) in 1500. He founded the settlement of Santa María la Antigua del Darién in present-day Panama in 1510. Which was the first permanent European settlement in the American mainland.
