This wine has a light yellow color with green reflections and presents an intense aroma of grapefruit and white flowers, making it a refreshing experience from the first mouthful. About the Manufacturer
Domaine du Mont Verrier is a historic winery located in the heart of Beaujolais, and its wine tradition dates back to the 17th century. The winery has 40 hectares of vineyards in southern Burgundy and Beaujolais, where sustainable viticulture is the focus. All fields are cultivated without the use of pesticides, and their responsible practices have earned them an HEV (High Environmental Value) certification.
The site, called “Monts Verriers,” peaks at 363 meters and spans a unique and varied terroir of hard limestone, marl, volcanic rock, blue schist and granite. This not only gives the soil a special minerality, but also heralds the microclimate that characterizes the ten famous Beaujolais wines. Especially on this terroir, which includes both the Beaujolais-Villages and the Bourgogne appellations, grapes such as Gamay and Pinot Noir acquire a powerful and concentrated character.
The young vines, which are optimally exposed to the sun, deliver grapes characterized by the special peppery and smoky notes of the terroir. The wines are structured and rich in character, making them perfect to accompany charcuterie, grilled meats and stews. The wines are further improved by aging in the cellar, where they develop even greater depth and complexity.
