It has matured in ex-bourbon casks, and has been given a fine finish in Ruby Port Cask. The 55.3% alcohol and the vinous influence from the ruby port harmonize in the best way.

Scent: A sweet peat smoke leads to rich chocolate cake and freshly planed oak with notes of rolling tobacco and cracked leather
Taste: The palate is smooth and rich with notes of strawberry and raspberry leading to shortbread and cocoa. Hints of milk chocolate and coffee beans
Aftertaste: The finish is long and complex with notes of rich summer wine, smoked barbeque sauce and dried dark fruits

About the Distillery:

Glasgow distillery was founded in 2014 and has taken its name from Glasgow's original distillery G Glasgow whose history dates back to 1770 when the founder Dundashill founded the distillery which is best known as The Glasgow Distillery Company. This remained active until the beginning of the 20th century.

Glasgow was once home to hundreds of distilleries until hard times and prohibition came and led to many closures. With their 1st single malt 1770 in Glasgow in 110 years, the Glasgow distillery hopes to bring Glasgow malt whiskey back to life.

Since establishing the distillery in 2014, founders Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward and Lan McDougall have invested in the best distilling equipment, purchased the finest casks and assembled a team of distillers to create a wide range of hand-crafted spirits.

Traditional and new methods are used which have given them the first prize-winning premium brands. They named their 3 copper stills after family members from the 3 founders. Annie, Mhairi and Tara.
